Apple handles payment and subscription records. Algebra Buddy can restore an active Weekly Pass but App Store restore does not restore consumable AI packs. Algebra Buddy cannot issue refunds directly.

Do I need an account?
No. Core lessons, practice, graphing, deterministic solving, settings, and progress tracking work without an Algebra Buddy account.
What works offline?
The included curriculum, lessons, local practice, graphing, deterministic math tools, and progress records work locally. AI Photo Solver, AI pack purchases, App Store restoration, subscription management, and update checks require internet access.
How does AI Photo Solver use my image?
Only after you explicitly allow AI data sharing and choose to solve a reviewed crop, Algebra Buddy sends it through QnSub's Cloudflare service to OpenAI for transcription and a structured solution. A successful solve saves a compact copy locally in Problem History. Read the privacy policy for full details.
Why does the recognized equation look wrong?
Crop to one problem, use even lighting, keep the full equation in frame, and avoid shadows or page curvature. Always review the recognized problem, confidence, steps, and verification before relying on an AI result.
What is included without the weekly AI pass?
The app purchase includes the complete on-device course, practice, graphing, deterministic tools, and local progress. Five AI Photo Solves and five AI Tutor replies are included per device. A one-time consumable adds 30 Photo Solves and 30 Tutor replies that stay available until used and can be purchased again. The Weekly Pass includes up to 50 AI Photo Solves and 50 AI Tutor replies per subscription week; unused weekly allowances do not carry forward.
How do I restore my Weekly AI Pass?
Open Algebra Buddy Settings, choose AI Access, then tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the subscription purchase.
How do I cancel or manage the weekly pass?
Open Settings in Algebra Buddy and tap Manage Subscription, or open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Apple provides the current steps at support.apple.com/118428.
How do I request a refund?
Apple makes refund decisions for App Store purchases. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
How do I delete my learning data?
Open Settings and choose Reset Everything to Factory Settings. This clears app-owned progress, preferences, bookmarks, Problem History, saved photo crops, cached files, and the current installation identifier. App Store purchases remain linked to your Apple Account, and included or purchased AI allowance records can persist so resetting cannot replenish or duplicate them.
How do I stop AI data sharing or make a privacy request?
Open Algebra Buddy Settings, choose Data and Privacy, then choose Withdraw AI Processing Permission to stop future photo and Tutor requests. For a privacy question or deletion request involving identifiable service data, email appsupport@qnsub.com with the subject "Algebra Buddy Privacy Request." Do not include worksheet images, Tutor messages, or student information.
Can Algebra Buddy guarantee every answer?
No. Algebra Buddy provides educational guidance, and AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. Review the recognized equation, each step, and the verification. Follow your school's rules for permitted assistance.
